Sony VAIO Flip

Sony’s latest addition to its Vaio Laptop range is the upcoming Sony Vaio Flip PC. The new model, due for release this fall, provides a different take on the usual laptop and tablet hybrid including a movable design improving user’s viewing experience as well as a competitive technical spec. The key characteristic of Sony’s new model is its ability to easily ‘flip’ its screen backwards. The double hinges on the model allow the screen to be reversed into ‘viewer mode’, a position facing away from the keyboard extremely beneficial for streaming movies and TV, as well as a form available for tablet use. The simple flip process uses a clever switch system and is reassuringly sturdy when the model is moving into its different positions.

The Sony Vaio Flip, whilst remaining relatively lightweight, is expected to come in three screen sizes (13”, 14” and 15”) and either a black or silver color. The glossy, high end aluminum design is of great appeal including an impressive screen resolution. With a 1920 x 1080 pixel density (2880 x 1620px for the 15” model), the display is vibrant and visually engaging aiding users touch screen experience. Similarly, users can benefit from the excellent back-lit keyboard included in the model’s design as well as an optional Active Pen stylus for screen drawing.

Although Sony has not yet released pricing or confirmed the availability of the Vaio Flip, the latest release from the electronics company is set to make heads turn with its expected impressive specifications and transformative nature.
