Lenovo Yoga 10 HD+ tablet

At the Mobile World Conference 2014 in Barcelona, Lenovo unveiled their latest tablet PC: Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+. Although Lenovo’s last Yoga tablet was only released in November 2013, this new version is a significant improvement of its predecessor.

Design

Unlike other tablets currently available, the Lenovo Yoga 10 HD + has a kickstand on the back of the device. This allows the user to prop up the tablet on a desk or table—this makes the device perfect for watching videos on.

Like other Yoga tablets, the latest incarnation is made of smooth aluminium and is relatively slim which makes it incredibly comfortable to hold. The new tablet from Lenovo is available in grey and a new champagne gold shade.

Tablet Technology

Unlike it predecessor which received a fair bit of criticism in the press for its blurry display, the upcoming incarnation of the Yoga tablet will sport a full HD screen with e 1,920 x 1,200 pixel resolution. This makes the Yoga 10 HD plus great for reading text off of and watching films.  In addition, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ has front-facing speakers making it even better for watching TV and videos on.

One of the major attractions of the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ is its outstanding battery life. Indeed, equipped with a 9,000 mAh battery it offers around 18 hours of battery life which is substantially more than most tablets on the market.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab let 10 HD+ is equipped with a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and is support by a generous 2GB of RAM which makes it a speedy and responsive device. The device is available in a 16GB version and a more generous 32GB version. In addition, the tablet’s internal memory can be complemented by a micro-SD card which can supply the tablet with up to 32GB of extra memory.

If you like taking pictures, you’ll be pleased to know that the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ has significant better photography capabilities than its predecessor. On the front of the device there is a 1.6MP camera that is perfect for video-calling and on the back of the device there is an 8MP camera for taking photos.

Release Date and Pricing

The new Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ is set for release May 2014 and will be available in both a 3G and a Wi-Fi version. The Wi-Fi version will cost £299 and the 3G version is a bit more expensive, costing £329.
