Design

With the exception of the iPhone 5c, Apple has always played itself relatively safe with the iPhone’s design as it never strays too far away from the iconic, original design that everyone fell in love with. However, Apple has certainly upped their game with the iPhone 6. This is probably due to the fact that the smartphone market has become more competitive and big competitors like LG and Samsung are pushing innovative designs such as: LG G2, LG G Flex and Samsung GALAXY Round.

The latest offering from Apple features a seamless design which merges the glass panel on the front of the screen with the aluminium casing. This not only makes the phone more comfortable to hold but it also makes it more durable. As with the iPhone 5s, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are available in three beautiful colours: silver, gold and space grey.

As mentioned in the introduction, Apple has released two versions of the iPhone 6. The regular version has a 4.7-inch display and the iPhone Plus has a larger 5.5 inch screen which marks Apple’s first attack on the lucrative ‘phablet’ market. Regardless of which size you opt for, both models have awesome Retina HD displays for superior definition and unrivalled viewing angles.

Features

Apple has made notable advancements in their camera technology which are showcased in the new iPhone. One the back of the phone you will find an 8MP iSight camera with Focus Pixels and on the front there is a 1.2MP FaceTime camera. Both cameras boast improved face recognition, superior autofocus and editing facilities.

Debuted on the iPhone 5s, TouchID is present in the new iPhone 6 and can be used to authorize a range of transactions online as well keeping your phone and personal data safe.

The iPhone 6 will be pre-loaded with the latest edition of Apple’s operating system iOS 8. IOS 8 has a range of useful and fun features to help you get more out of your smartphone. Such features include an improved messaging system that allows you to add voice notes, video and even your location to a message. In addition, iOS has a new health application which streamlines all of your active health applications in order to give you a more thorough understanding of your health.
