Dell XPS 11

Early October, alongside their new range of tablets, Dell introduced some new laptops to their highly successful XPS series. The XPS 11 is one of the latest additions to the family. The Dell XPS 11 is a premium 2-in-1 Ultrabook that embodies the convenience of a tablet and the capability of a laptop in a highly portable, compact design. The XPS 11 is currently the thinnest and lightest 2-in-1 Ultrabook in the world, weighing a mere 2.5 pounds!

The new Dell XPS 11 Ultrabook has a number of great features that truly make it a must have for all laptop enthusiasts. The laptop has a backlit, capacitive touch keyboard, which means that there are no mechanical parts to it. This greatly improves durability and performance as the sensitivity of the keyboard can be adjusted to your preference.

Much like the Lenovo Pro Yoga 2, the Dell XPS 11 is incredibly flexible. As well as using the Dell XPS 11 as a conventional laptop, the hinge that connects the screen to the keyboard can be folded back 180 degrees. This provides comfortable use of the touchscreen as it makes the laptop better resemble a tablet PC.

The Dell XPS 11 has an impressive display; indeed, it is the world’s first 11.6 inch two in one Ultrabook to boast a Quad HD display. The Dell XPS’s display places it in competition with Apple as Dell effortlessly embodies the same resolution of the popular MacBook Pro (2560×1440) in a smaller model.

The new Dell XPS 11 Ultrabook will hit the shelves in November, just in time for Christmas! Prices will start from $999.99.

While the complete specification has not been released, the press release and other sources has provided us with a pretty good of idea of what to expect. We’ll update the specification again once all the details have been made public.
