An In-Depth Look at the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro

Apple is certainly no stranger to keeping one step ahead of the game in terms of industry competition and this firm has consistently produced high-quality smartphones to an ever-expanding marketplace. This is we are witnessing the release of the new iPhone 13 fresh on the heels of the 12 series. What does this new model have in store? Are there any bells and whistles worth noting? Whether you are in the market for a new phone or you are simply interested to learn more, the information found below will certainly come in handy.

The iPhone 13 and 13 Pro: The Basics

First and foremost, the storage capacity on both of these devices has been upgraded from a meagre 64 gigabytes to an impressive 128 gigabytes. This was actually one of the major sticking points with the iPhone 12 series, so users should be pleased. It is also thought that such an upgrade was necessary in order to counter competitors such as Samsung and Google.

Another major improvement can be seen in regards to the cameras offered by the 13 and 13 Plus. This new series boasts the largest sensor ever and Apple claims that this feature allows its cameras to capture up to 47 per cent more light when compared to previous models. A new cinematic mode is offered by all models; one metric which seems to be catching on throughout the entire industry.

Battery and Processing Power

Rumours already claim that apple has improved the battery life on both of these models; some stating that users can expect as much as 3,095 mAh of power. These are significant upgrades when compared to the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro.

Another interesting feature is that both the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro have been equipped with the ultra-fast A15 Bionic chipset. Claimed to contain as many as 15 billion transistors, enhanced graphical capabilities and AI, this new processor should dramatically improve the end-user experience and it is particularly useful for those who were less than satisfied with the GPU associated with the 12 series. This is also one of the reasons why Apple needed to improve the battery life of the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro.

Ergonomics and Appearance

In terms of physical appearance, both of these models offer the same design that users have come to expect from Apple. The iPhone 13 is available in colours including starlight, midnight, blue, pink, and red. Those who choose to upgrade to the Pro series can increase their options to enjoy gold, sierra blue, granite, and silver. The standard iPhone 13 offers a screen size of 5.4 inches while the pro has been equipped with a 6.7-inch display (both containing refresh rates of 120 Hz). So, it only stands to reason that the Pro will be slightly larger to handle. This might present an issue to those who have been looking for a phone which can easily be stored within a pocket. However, such a trade-off is minimal when we consider the clarity of these OLED displays with nearly invisible bezels.

The Verdict

All in all, users should be pleased with what both of these models have to offer. While they are certainly not the cheapest phones on the market, the fact of the matter is that die-hard iPhone fans tend to care more about quality than price. It could indeed be time to upgrade to the iPhone 13 series.
